Terms of Service
Effective May 7, 2026.
These terms govern your use of TalkScore on Android. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use TalkScore. If you're between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian has read these terms with you.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on a device you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or resell the app or any part of it.
How you use it
- Only record conversations where the participants have consented or where the law where you live permits a one-party recording. You are responsible for knowing the rules in your jurisdiction.
- Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, repackage, or scrape the app.
- Don't use the app to record children under 13 without a parent's consent.
- Don't use the app to harass, surveil, deceive, or impersonate anyone.
- You're responsible for the content you record and what you do with the analysis.
Subscriptions, trial & billing
TalkScore offers a 5-day free trial. After the trial, the app is sold as a recurring subscription through Google Play. The current price is $2.99 per month. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
You can cancel any time from your Google Play account. Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period unless required by law or Google's policy.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Google Play according to their policy. We're happy to support a refund request you make through Google.
Service availability
TalkScore depends on a third-party analyzer to score recordings. If that service is unavailable, the app will tell you and let you retry. We don't guarantee uptime, response time, or that any particular score is "right." It is a thoughtful read, not a verdict.
Not therapy, not legal advice
TalkScore is a reflection tool. It is not therapy, mediation, legal advice, or medical care. Take what's useful and leave the rest. If a conversation is hurting, please talk to a real person trained for that.
Termination
We can suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
Changes
If we change anything material, the effective date above will move. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
